This travel nursing job offers the chance to work in a vibrant city known for its welcoming community, excellent amenities, and easy access to parks, shopping, and dining. • Job Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU), • Assignment Type: Travel Nursing, • Location: Olathe, KS 66061 (Kansas City metro area), • Facility: 300-bed acute care hospital, • Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), • Start Date: November 30, 2025, • End Date: March 1, 2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:30), • Hours per Week: 36, • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, • Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, • On-Call: None, • Orientation: 5 days (includes virtual Epic EMR training if needed), • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1750 - $1870, • Active KS RN or Compact RN License required, • Minimum 2 years recent experience in Critical Care, ICU, or Progressive Care Unit, • Proficient in CRRT, Bipaps, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs, • Ability to conduct consults and codes independently, • Comfortable working without vascular access team support, • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required, • Willingness to float to ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED units as needed, • EPIC EMR experience preferred, • New graduates not eligible, • Nicotine-free workplace, • Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions, • Independently manage CRRT, Bipaps, chest tubes, PICC lines, and laboratory draws, • Respond to and conduct codes and consults as needed, • Float to other inpatient units (ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, ED) based on hospital needs, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, • Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR GHR Healthcare - Travel Division Job ID #426921.
