Apply now to join our healthcare team!\n \n\nPCU RN Job Details – Salem, Oregon\n\n • Location: Salem, Oregon (97301) – Explore Oregon nursing jobs in a city known for its lush greenery, historic sites, and access to the Willamette Valley.\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700-$1820\n, • Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract, 13 weeks\n, • Start Date: January 5, 2026 (or later)\n, • Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)\n, • Unit: Float Pool (PCU/IMC/MS/Stepdown)\n, • Patient Ratios: 1:4-6\n, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n, • Free parking on site\n, • Charting: Epic EMR\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oregon RN license not required at submission; pending accepted)\n, • Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)\n, • Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)\n, • BLS certification (AHA required)\n, • Epic charting experience required\n, • ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred\n, • Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to West Valley Hospital (15 minutes away)\n, • Clinical skills in telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, dysrhythmia management, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, and cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone)\n, • Weekend availability (every other weekend required)\n\n\nPCU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU, Med-Surg, IMC, and Stepdown units\n, • Float as needed to support all adult inpatient units, including Emergency Department, ICU, and affiliate hospital (West Valley Hospital)\n, • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage telemetry, and respond to rapid response/code situations\n, • Administer and manage cardiac drips, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management\n, • Perform peripheral line care, isolation precautions, and maintain accurate computerized documentation using Epic EMR\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services\n, • Support patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiac, neuro, post-MI, post-TPA, and substance withdrawal\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #437291.
