American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in St. Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 4, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Acute care hospital setting with 233 staffed beds, • Neuro Ortho unit with Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele), • Patient population includes neurological, orthopedic, and telemetry cases, including CVA and total joint replacement patients, • Patient ratio of 1:6, • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30), • Every other weekend required; night shift weekends may fall on Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation, • No on-call requirements, • Floating within scope to meet facility needs; travelers may be pulled to any unit except ICU, SDU, and ED, • Block scheduling is not available, • Epic EMR used throughout the facility, • No parking costsRequirements, • Active MO RN license or compact RN license (from state of permanent residence) required, • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required, • 2+ years of RN experience preferred, • Proficiency in neurological/psychiatric care, CVA management, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, PICC line management, PCA, and telemetry monitoring, • Epic EMR experience required, • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible, • Valid SSN and date of birth required for consideration, • Fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper N95 fit testingAdditional Information, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Scrub color: Navy, • RTO is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of the assignment, • Travelers may remain at this facility system for up to 18 months before a 3-month break is required, • Permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler, • Pre-start orientation modules are required and must be completed prior to the start date, • Candidates with a medical marijuana card are not eligible for this position With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
