We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Coney Island team. Position Overview The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and truck systems across our fleet. This includes routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and complex mechanical troubleshooting to ensure our trucks remain safe, reliable, and ready for service 24/7. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines Inspect, service, and repair brakes, suspension, electrical systems, hydraulics, and drivetrains Conduct regular DOT safety inspections and ensure compliance Troubleshoot mechanical issues on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty tow trucks Maintain accurate repair logs and communicate repair needs to management Support emergency and priority repairs to minimize downtime Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment Collaborate with the shop team and fleet manager on repair priorities Follow all company safety procedures and standards Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic (fleet experience preferred) Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues independently Experience with tow trucks or commercial truck fleets is a plus Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced shop environment Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus) Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications ASE certifications Experience with International, Freightliner, Kenworth, and Ford F-series trucks Welding or fabrication experience Competitive pay Steady, year-round work Family-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth As a Diesel Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles, alongside other automotive repair tasks. Requirements: • Proven experience as an auto mechanic, with a focus on diesel repair being a significant plus., • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This hands-on role is responsible for safely receiving, storing, and transferring petroleum products, ensuring all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and operate terminal equipment to safely load and unload fuel products from trucks, pipelines, barges, or railcars., • Perform tank gauging and sampling to verify product levels, quality, and integrity., • Operate valves, pumps, meters, and other terminal equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures., • Conduct routine inspections of tanks, pipes, hoses, and safety equipment to ensure safe and leak-free operation., • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials, use of PPE, and emergency response procedures., • Complete logs, reports, and documentation related to fuel movements, inventory, and maintenance activities., • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance teams when repairs are needed., • Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors to coordinate daily loading schedules and fuel deliveries. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required., • 1+ year of experience in terminal operations, fuel handling, or industrial process environments preferred., • Basic knowledge of fuel products, terminal systems, and safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)., • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate valves, gauges, and control systems., • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and environmental procedures., • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs., • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or be on-call as needed.
