Position overview: We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and enthusiastic General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our flagship location. This role combines traditional retail leadership with the operational and creative management of an immersive experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about pop culture, thrives in a high-energy environment, and brings a customer-first mindset to both merchandise and experience. Responsibilities Guest Experience • Create the Vibe: Lead by example to create a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive environment. Foster an inclusive space where employees feel respected and are able to perform at top levels., • Guest Service: Ensure all employees are providing guests with exceptional service throughout their visit., • Conflict Management: Handle guest concerns or escalations promptly and professionally. Leadership and Team Development • Strategic Hiring & Staffing: Demonstrated expertise in recruiting and staffing, with the ability to maintain optimal team levels and proactively adjust to business trends and demands., • Decisive & Adaptive Leadership: Quickly takes initiative, making informed decisions with agility and confidence in a fast-paced environment., • Champion of Employee Growth: Committed to helping create a positive, supportive workplace, advocating for team development and actively promoting individual growth and career progression., • Exceptional Communication: An excellent communicator who can clearly and effectively convey expectations, provide constructive feedback, and inspire the team to achieve their best., • Team Building: Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer obsession, • Appropriate Scheduling: Lead daily staff meetings, scheduling, and shift management Daily Operations • Daily Operations: Open and close the venue as scheduled, ensuring all equipment and areas are safe, clean, and operational., • Ticketing Platform Management: Experience with monitoring and successfully managing our ticketing platform to ensure that all ticket sales and inquiries are addressed in a timely manner when appropriate., • Experience Overview and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the experience, and general facilities. Understands the importance of taking quick action when identifying facilities maintenance issues., • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational standards., • Inventory Management: Helps manage all aspects of inventory for the experience including efficient merchandise management and loss prevention., • Policy & Procedure Compliance: Ensures the team adheres to all company policies, procedures, and directives, maintaining a well-organized and compliant operation., • Financial Responsibility: Helps manage the store’s financial performance, including budgeting, expense control, and revenue generation, to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Retail Operations • Sales Goals: Meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs through effective merchandising and team motivation, • Retail & Experience: Ensure a seamless integration of retail and immersive elements to enhance the customer journey, • Point of Sale: Training and coaching of store team members on all point of sale operations, • Visual Merchandising: Excellence in visual merchandising and display. Has general knowledge of shipment placement and merchandising to maximize sales., • Promotions & Floor sets: Effectively executes frequent seasonal floor set changes and promotional updates adhering to strict deadlines. Event Leadership & Collaborations • Venue Events: Coordinate and manage events, and group bookings., • Marketing Partnerships: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive event attendance and revenue., • Campaign Management: Support promotional events, seasonal campaigns, and guest engagement initiatives., • Community Engagement: Maintain active communication with the community and guests via social platforms, email, or in-venue activations. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in hospitality, attractions, entertainment, or customer service management., • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills., • Proven ability to manage operations and lead a team in a high-traffic, guest-facing environment., • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities., • Reliable transportation to work., • Must be eligible to work in the US, • Must be 18 years of age or older, • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time., • Comfortable working in dim lighting, confined spaces, and themed environments that may include fog effects or light/sound elements, • Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds, • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
