Job Description DOC is looking for an advanced practice practitioner (APP) to help grow a NON-OPIOID pain management practice that focuses on interventional procedures, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes to help a person who suffers with pain become more functional. The APP will work in a complimentary environment that provides access to in-house X-rays, ultrasound machine, physical therapy, and orthopedic specialists. You will be treated as a partner with the pain management physician and given autonomy to build your own practice. Job Duties and Responsibilities: APP Duties • Evaluate guests (patients) in the office by obtaining a history and performing a physical exam., • Order appropriate imaging studies, lab tests, and medical provider referrals., • Prescribe appropriate interventional procedures to diagnose and treat various pain issues., • Perform in-office injections such as peripheral joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections. Ultrasound guidance will be used for most of these injections., • Document a guest’s history, physical exam, lab results, imaging results, and plan in an electronic medical record in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. Qualifications • Motivated to learn both the medical and business side of medicine. You will receive guidance on how to build a busy practice. Our goal is for you take great care of your guests and be successful financially., • Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, guests, visitors, and physicians., • Ability to promote favorable image of DOC with physicians, guests, hospitals, other physician offices, and general public., • Eager to learn and ask questions., • Work effectively as team member with physicians and other staff., • Appropriately interact with guests, families, and others., • Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands., • Must have a flexible work schedule with the ability to work late some days and work through the lunch break on busy clinic days. Requirements • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, • PA or NP board certification, • Texas license, • Prefer experience in pain management or spine specialty, but not necessary., • Good communication skills, • Must be proficient with computers., • Empathetic
