Job DescriptionJob Title: RME Mechatronics and Robotics Technician (Maintenance Technician II) Paying $29/Hour! Job Description This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging systems, and pneumatic systems in a large, highly automated distribution facility. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, and help ensure high uptime and reliability of conveyors, robotics, and automation equipment. The position requires flexibility to work any 10-hour shift. Responsibilities • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors and related automated systems., • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance routines on material handling, automation, and robotic equipment, including completing all required documentation and procedures., • Conduct battery changes and perform preventive maintenance on industrial batteries., • Enter downtime data in daily logs and accurately complete preventive maintenance (PM) sheets., • Manage and close work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)., • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems on material handling and automation equipment., • Apply knowledge of basic electrical components and electronic principles to diagnose and resolve equipment issues., • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance and repair activities., • Identify problems with equipment, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions., • Track, organize, and store department inventory, including spare parts and critical components., • Follow and demonstrate safety standards while working on material handling equipment and automated conveyor systems., • Support the operation and maintenance of PLC-based controls systems and robotic equipment, as experience allows., • Use hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic tools to perform repairs and adjustments on industrial equipment., • Collaborate with team members to improve equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives., • At least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventive maintenance procedures on industrial or automated equipment., • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls., • 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics., • 2+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic principles., • 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards while performing maintenance work., • 1+ year of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in MHE systems., • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications., • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems., • Experience working with automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment., • Ability to perform complete preventive maintenance on industrial and automation equipment., • Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment, including diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and creating work orders., • Hands-on experience with conveyors and other material handling equipment (MHE), including controls and robotics., • Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations systems., • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and maintenance tasks., • Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to identify and implement process and equipment improvements., • Strong desire and willingness to learn and grow within a reliability and maintenance engineering environment., • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and safety standards., • Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus in mechanical or electrical fields, preferred., • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field, preferred., • 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems, preferred., • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance, preferred., • Ability to read schematics and use them effectively for troubleshooting. Work Environment This role is based in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and extensive robotic components. You will work around conveyors, material handling systems, and advanced robotics in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Performance is tracked through systems and metrics to ensure expectations are met, but day-to-day work is not micromanaged. The position requires comfort with physical activity, including walking approximately 10,000 steps per day and lifting up to 49 pounds as part of normal duties. You will use a variety of tools, diagnostic equipment, and a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) while working on 10-hour shifts, and all candidates must be open to working any shift based on operational needs. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
