Job Description BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. The Living room Safe Haven is a 125-bed, low-barrier shelter operated by BronxWorks for chronically street-homeless single adult men. Located in the Melrose section of the Bronx, Pyramid follows a Housing First model and provides on-site services including case management, psychiatric and medical care, substance use counseling, meals, showers, and housing placement support. Referrals are made exclusively through NYC’s Street Homeless Outreach Teams. The program focuses on building trust and engagement while supporting clients in transitioning into stable, long-term housing. RESPONSIBILITIES • Abide by Department of Health and OSHA regulations regarding kitchen hygiene and maintenance, • Assist with weighing in, receiving and proper storage of food., • Participate in menu planning, • Provide quality service to clients during meal service, • Maintain consistent communication with supervisors, • Follow Department of Homeless Services (DHS) approved menus for foodservice, • Prepare food under the direction of the Head Cook, Kitchen Supervisor, and Associate Vice President, • Assist with safe handling and proper temperature control of prepared foods., • Assist with proper functioning and cleaning of kitchen and kitchen equipment, dining areas, and adherence to sanitation standards, • Assist with packaging and delivery of meals to satellite offices, • Maintain food usage records and assist in taking monthly inventory, • Help coordinate activities of staff engaged in food preparation, meal service and cleanup, • Deploy to other shelter kitchens for coverage as needed, • Overtime may be necessary at the discretion and approval of supervisors, • Attend relevant BronxWorks trainings, • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent credentials preferred., • Valid Safe Food Handlers’ Certificate required, • Experience working in a setting responsible for managing and providing (breakfast, snack, and supper) meals based on required standards in a congregate setting is preferred., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required, • Proficiency in safe operation of all kitchen equipment and Department of Health Regulations., • Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary., • Experience working in a team environment is preferred, • Familiarity with a variety of cultural recipes and preparations preferred, • Reliability and being highly responsible is a must PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods., • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds., • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time., • Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct home visits and/or fieldwork., • Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents., • Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation., • Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work. JOB SUMMARY: Assistant Director of Tennis (ADT) works with the Director of Tennis (DOT), and Sportime’s Global Tennis Department as needed, to ensure 5-star tennis program quality and maximum profitability; tennis programs include private and group instruction for players of all ages and abilities, leagues, tournaments, special events and more. The ADT assists the DOT with supervision of all tennis-related program sales and scheduling coaches. Description We are seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer who will manage a collaborative and dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging problems involved with electric transmission. The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Engineer and Technical Project Manager on high voltage electric transmission line design projects of overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country as well as regional utilities. The candidate will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC, and other applicable standards in the engineering and design of all types of capital and maintenance projects from 34.5 kV to 765 kV. Job Description The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island’s Trauma Recovery Center (JCCGCI’s TRC) is dedicated to promoting equality, justice, and healing in our community. We are committed to providing support and resources to individuals affected by violent crime and trauma through our Trauma Recovery Center. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment that fosters healing and growth. The Victim Support Program is an extension of the Trauma Recovery Center and builds upon the TRC’s commitment to supporting individuals affected by violent crime and victimization. The program expands the TRC’s services by providing specialized victim services, advocacy, care coordination, and resources to promote safety, healing, and stability. The Victim Support Program works collaboratively with the Trauma Recovery Center team and community partners to ensure participants receive coordinated and comprehensive support. The Victim Services & Care Coordinator plays a critical role in providing comprehensive, trauma-informed, and victim-centered services to individuals impacted by violent crime and victimization. This position serves as a primary point of contact for participants and provides individualized advocacy, case management, safety planning, care coordination, systems advocacy, and support from initial intake through follow-up and stabilization. The Coordinator is responsible for providing direct services to approximately 75–100 participants during the fiscal year and works collaboratively with participants, internal staff, and community partners to identify needs, reduce barriers to services, promote safety, and connect individuals with appropriate resources. This joint prevention-clinical services model offers comprehensive trauma-informed services to the whole family, including the survivor of IPV, the person causing harm (PCH), and to children exposed to the IPV in the home. Range of services includes in-home visitation, crisis intervention, case management, advocacy, individual, group and family counseling, psycho-education and support, and referral to other appropriate services. The SWF program will serve a total of 65 families residing in Brooklyn. POSITION SUMMARY: The Therapeutic Case Manager is responsible for screenings and assessment, engagement, safety planning and coordination of services and treatment for members of the family system experiencing IPV. Approach to service is family-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based and emphasizes both short-term and long-term goals to restore and maintain Safety for all family members, Protect children from future exposure to IPV, and promote Healing and Improved Family Relationships. The qualified candidate will be responsible for adherence to reporting requirements and timelines and meeting programmatic outcome measures. Job Description The Coordinator of Community Habilitation and Respite Services is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination, and oversight of the Agency's OPWDD Community Habilitation and Respite programs, serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The coordinator ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services that promote independence, community inclusion, skill achievement, family support, and positive outcomes while protecting the rights, dignity, health, and safety of the individuals supported. The coordinator provides operational oversight of Community Habilitation and Respite services, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, OPWDD requirements, Medicaid billing standards, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements, Justice Center regulations, and Agency policies and procedures. Job Description The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a joint program of Safe Horizon and the New York City Police Department (NYPD)that has assigned advocates to every police precinct and Police Service Area (PSA), 86, in total, citywide. Some precincts have two advocates assigned (a crime victim advocate and a domestic violence victim advocate) except for several identified precincts with one advocate. The precincts with one advocate are assigned to work with all victims of crime, including victims of domestic violence. Advocates literally sit side by side with police officers and NYPD civilian personnel and rarely have their own office space. As such, they develop skills where they address the lack of privacy with clients, while navigating a shared space with an outside entity- the NYPD. Advocates are required to report to the precinct/PSA each day for their shift. The Safe Horizon crime victim advocate/domestic violence advocate partners with the police personnel to provide outreach to victims who have filed police reports, or victims who walk into a precinct and seek assistance. The advocate will enter client information into the Case Management System in a timely fashion. The advocate will work with all victims of crime who need help from the NYPD with a specific focus for victims who filed a report as victims of violent felony offense as well as victims of domestic violence who have filed police reports on an as-needed basis. Given the volume in many precincts, advocates will assess high risk and focus on their on-going support for victims identified as such. Job Description Safe Horizon’s Senior DV Victim Advocate (SVD) works within the SVD of NYPD. The advocate partners with police personnel to provide a coordinated, victim-centered approach to teen and adult victims of sexual assault to reduce trauma and improve the quality of services victims receive. The advocate works with victims, friends, caregivers and family members of sexual assault who are seeking assistance from NYPD within the SVD. The advocate will also be available to work with victims of sexual assault on an as-needed basis by responding to their home or to the hospital where they are being treated. Residents can remain at the shelter until placed into permanent housing, ideally within nine months of receiving services. Safe Options Support (SOS) teams address the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness on the street and in public transit locations. This is done by offering direct linkages to services that address their immediate needs, including transitional housing placement, connection to medical and mental health care, and access to benefits. Additionally, SOS provides support during the period of transition from street homelessness to stable housing. SOS Teams are comprised of licensed behavioral health clinicians, registered nurses, care managers, This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the Governor’s newly launched, innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) program, which will provide comprehensive care to street homeless or subway dwelling individuals. The Peer Specialist’s role will involve community outreach on the streets and subways, coordinating participants needs before and after their move from street to home, enhancing their daily living skills, accompaniment to appointments, and advocating on their behalf when faced with discrimination or healthcare inequities. The SOS teams will continue to follow participants for several months after housing placement to ensure their stability, independence, and wellbeing in their new community. On job training and regular learning collaboratives will be available to enhance the Peer Specialist’s professional development.
