Job DescriptionSalary: $21.-- -$23.00 per hour POSITION SUMMARY The Internship Project (TIP), an initiative of LA Promise Fund (LAPF), supports LA County high school students in gaining their first professional work experience. The Summer Coordinator of Career Pathway Connections will work directly with students to support internship placements, provide ongoing guidance, and help students build career readiness skills. This role also collaborates closely with the Associate Director overseeing TIP and the Career Pathway Connections team to facilitate workshops, manage documentation, coordinate events, and lead digital storytelling and social media efforts that highlight student experiences and program impact. This is a temporary part-time, non-exempt position that will run from May 2026 through September 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES The temporary Coordinator of Career Pathway Connections will: Program & Student Support • Assist the Associate Director with tracking, organizing, and managing all student applications and program documentation, • Work with partner organizations to schedule interviews, site visits and provide off-site student support, • Support and facilitate career skills workshops and job coaching sessions, including slide deck support, attendance tracking, and event facilitation, • Conduct mock interviews, informational interviews, and related career readiness topics, • May serve as a coach for a specific cohort of students, • Assist the Associate Director with the planning and execution of orientation and celebration events, • Participate in student coaching sessions, • Manage and support social media presence for Career Pathway Connections (CPC) with a focus on Instagram and LinkedIn, • Plan, create, and schedule engaging social media content, including posts, stories, reels, and short-form videos, • Create and edit short-form videos using video editing software, • Design digital flyers, graphics, and marketing materials using Canva, • Support broader marketing and outreach efforts through digital storytelling and branding alignment Education and Experience • Minimum of 30 college units toward a degree in marketing/communications, business, education, media arts, or a related field, • Preferred 1 year of experience working with students or within school settings, preferably K12 Los Angeles schools Technical & Digital Skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite, Zoom, and Canva digital communication tools, • Experience managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn, • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, • Enjoys working with students, educators, and community partners, • Strong time management and organizational skills, • Able to work in a hybrid environment, • Must clear a Live Scan criminal background check, • Must clear a TB Risk Assessment, • Must complete Mandated Reporter training, • Ability to travel within LA County
