Job DescriptionDescription: Onsite in Anaheim, CA Our client seeks a Server Administrator to ensure stability, security, and resilience across Linux and Windows Server platforms supporting internet and intranet services. The role will design and operate enterprise backup and disaster recovery with Veeam, implement system hardening, and drive automation with Bash and Ansible. The administrator will coordinate with security, network, storage, and application teams to achieve availability, performance, and RTO/RPO objectives. The position will support SAN integrations, high-availability configurations, and core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and SSL/TLS. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $35.00 to $45.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities: • Own and operate the Veeam-based backup and disaster recovery environment to ensure data protection, recoverability, and operational readiness across production and DR sites., • Design and maintain backup architecture, manage immutable and hardened Linux repositories, configure proxies and repositories, perform capacity planning, and execute routine backup validation and recovery testing to meet defined recovery objectives., • Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server systems across production and development environments to ensure availability, performance, and security., • Perform system provisioning, configuration, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting while applying hardening standards and aligning systems with operational, security, and compliance requirements., • Implement and manage foundational infrastructure services and security controls including DNS, DHCP, configuration management with Ansible, Linux security policies, and patch management with consistent standards enforcement and timely vulnerability remediation., • Support storage integration and high-availability configurations by configuring SAN storage at the OS level, implementing clustering and load balancing, and coordinating with database and network teams to maintain performance, redundancy, and fault tolerance., • Strong Linux (RHEL) administration experience with system hardening, patch management, and performance optimization., • Windows Server administration experience in enterprise environments., • Hands-on experience with Veeam for enterprise backup and disaster recovery, including validation and restore testing., • Proficiency with SAN storage concepts, clustering, and load balancing for high availability., • Experience managing core services such as DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, and configuration management with Ansible., • Automation and scripting experience using Bash, with knowledge of open-source services including rsync, rsyslog, OpenSSL, OpenSSH, and Apache., • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
