To protect your workforce, we are at your fingertips: internationalsos.com Job Description Job Location: Kuwait The EMT-B will utilize their knowledge and proficiency of evidenced-based medical practice and International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. protocols to manage unexpected and emergent situations and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses in a prompt and professional manner. The EMT will support the provision of direct and indirect medical care to patients in emergent situations and will competently function as a member of the team to provide patient centered medical care in the pre-hospital setting. Key Responsibilities • Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care of simple and multiple system traumas., • Assist the Paramedic in determining the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishing priorities for required emergency care., • Assist the Paramedic in rendering emergency medical care to all patients., • Operate all emergency vehicles as the primary driver with due diligence for the safety of others., • Restocking EMS units once supplies are received as well as assisting other clinic operators with restocking., • Maintain equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable ready-response condition., • Performs other duties and assignments as required. Required Skills and Knowledge: • Ability to assess adult and pediatric patients in pre-hospital setting., • Ability to successfully perform BLS interventions in accordance with protocols., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Proficient IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems., • Ability to function with accuracy and efficiency in high pressure or emergent situations., • Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations., • Cultural sensitivity and awareness with the willingness to work with a foreign national patient population., • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment., • Ability to effectively work with persons of diverse age and economic background in a culturally competent manner., • Must be able to manage and provide concise directions to supporting staff., • Possession of an EMT Level Certification from the National Registry (NREMT)., • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification., • Minimum of 1 year of EMT experience in a busy 911 system., • Experience in a remote setting preferred., • Must be physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned, including the ability to perform physically demanding training activities., • Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate., • This position is unaccompanied. No pets., • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is preferred., • US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required., • Must be able to relocate to project., • Some travel may be required. Additional Information Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. Comp Range: Min $59,000 Max $65,000 Benefits – Full-time positions are eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
