Job DescriptionSr. Director Sales Strategy Job Details Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid – 3 Days In Office) $175,000 – $200,000 / Year + Bonus Eligible Marketing Message Are you a commercial strategist who thinks at the enterprise level and executes with precision? Archer Meat Snacks—the fastest-growing jerky brand in the Natural and Specialty Channel—is searching for a Sr. Director Sales Strategy who will architect, operationalize, and accelerate the company’s commercial growth. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you will serve as the strategic engine behind Archer’s sales organization—leading the annual operating plan (AOP), developing pricing and trade architecture, guiding channel and customer strategies, and ensuring that commercial execution is aligned with brand and financial goals. This is a highly cross-functional, high-visibility role that influences Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and the Executive Leadership Team. We’re looking for a leader who blends analytical rigor with strategic clarity; someone who can see the big picture and build the systems, tools, and processes that help a fast-growing CPG company win in retail, club, mass, natural, and e-commerce channels. What You’ll Own & ImpactStrategic Sales Planning • Own enterprise-wide sales strategies aligned with brand, category, and financial objectives, • Lead annual planning (AOP) and long-range sales planning, • Set channel priorities, distribution objectives, and promotional frameworks, • Partner with Marketing, Customer Development, Category Management, and Finance to ensure cohesive commercial execution, • Define, monitor, and analyze key KPIs (pricing performance, promotions, assortment, customer profitability), • Build dashboards, tools, and reporting frameworks that enhance sales decision-making, • Shape Archer’s pricing architecture, promotional strategy, and trade investment allocation, • Lead price advance processes and scenario modeling, • Oversee line review strategy, kick-offs, and cross-functional alignment around distribution and investment priorities, • Partner with Marketing to align activation plans, innovation launches, and brand priorities, • Work with Finance to model revenue, trade, margin impacts, and pricing scenarios, • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure execution feasibility and demand alignment, • Establish and maintain best-in-class sales estimating and forecasting processes, • Build models and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable commercial insights, • Leverage syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI), TPM tools, CRM, and BI dashboards, • Partner with Customer Development and Category teams to build retailer-specific strategies, • Enhance joint business planning (JBP) with insights, promotional frameworks, and assortment recommendations, • Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales strategy organization, • Equip Sales leadership and field teams with playbooks, frameworks, and data-driven tools, • 10+ years in Sales Strategy, Revenue Growth Management, Commercial Leadership, or related CPG roles, • Deep experience developing sales growth strategies, pricing architecture, and trade optimization, • Track record supporting major retailers (Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, Sam’s, Amazon, etc.), • Strong experience leading AOP, long-range planning, and sales target-setting, • Expertise in syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen IQ, IRI) and commercial tools (TPM, PromoMash, CRM, BI dashboards), • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive clarity in fast-paced environments, • Strong communicator with exceptional executive storytelling capabilities, • Entrepreneurial mindset, high bias for action, and comfort with ambiguity To learn more about us, please visit: Archer Meat Snacks is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, and is an equal opportunity employer.
