Job DescriptionFull Job Description This is not a position with UPS Corporate, UPS Warehouse or a driver position. This is a position with The UPS Store, a privately owned franchise and a retail shipping and printing environment. The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, printers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by supplying accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED (some college course work preferred), a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. RESPONSIBILITIES • Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries, • Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership, • Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high quality control, • Performs other duties as required, • May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc., • Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently, • Must enjoy working with all people, • Must be able to arrive to work by 8:15am Monday Through Friday and 9:15am on Saturday, • Retail/customer service experience, • Some college course work preferred, • High school diploma or GED required, • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites, • Prompt, reliable, and responsible, • Neat, clean, and professional appearance, • Non-smoking environment, • Able to work collaboratively, • Must be able to type fast and accurately., • Must have reliable transportation and be able to move between two stores during the day.

The ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment continuously lifting and moving up to 75lbs.
