Role Description: We are seeking a full-time, on-site Watch Technician to join our team at RAYMOND WEIL in New York, NY. The Watch Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing quality control on both customer-owned and company-owned watches. This position reports to the Head Watchmaker and works closely with the Customer Service Team to ensure the highest standards of service are maintained. Responsibilities: • Diagnose watches and identify required and optional repairs following company guidelines., • Collaborate with the Customer Service Team to manage repair files, respond to technical inquiries, and resolve service issues., • Disassemble, clean, reassemble, lubricate, and test watches in a timely manner., • Overhaul and/or replace ETA and Sellita-based mechanical movements (e.g., ETA 2824, 2892, 7750; Sellita SW200, SW300, SW500)., • Replace quartz movements (ETA or Ronda) and perform battery replacements., • Ensure water resistance and carry out pressure tests using appropriate equipment., • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and tools., • Report technical issues or recurring faults to improve quality standards. Qualifications & Experience: • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required., • 2+ years of professional experience in watch repair (3–5 years preferred)., • Familiarity with both mechanical and quartz movements; ability to work on chronograph calibers is a strong asset., • Knowledge of tools such as Witschi timing machines, pressure testers, and demagnetizers., • Formal certification is a plus (WOSTEP, SAWTA, CW21, or brand-specific training), but equivalent practical experience will be considered., • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity., • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment., • Company Benefits, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance., • Commuter benefit plans., • Employee discount program.
