Join a well-established electronics manufacturer in lower Westchester County as our Lead Tool and Mold Maker and shape the future of our injection molding division!About the RoleWe’re seeking an experienced professional to lead our tool and mold making efforts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, build, and maintain the tools and molds that drive our injection molding production. You’ll also serve as the go-to technical resource for the team, mentoring others and collaborating across departments to optimize our processes.This position offers significant opportunities for long-term stability, growth, and advancement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.What You’ll Do • Design and produce high-quality tools and molds for injection molding machines, • Set up and operate manual machining equipment including mills and lathes, • Program and operate CNC equipment as needed, • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to fabricate tooling, • Perform precision inspections and quality control throughout the production process, • Lead and mentor team members in tool and mold making techniques, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, • Maintain a clean, safe work area and report safety hazards, • Contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent GED, • Minimum 5 years of manual milling and turning experience, • Proven ability to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics, • Strong understanding of tolerances and tolerance stacking, • Experience setting up and operating conventional machine tools, • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, • Conversational English proficiencyPreferred Qualifications, • 5–10 years of tool and mold making experience (thin-wall, thick-wall, single cavity, and multiple cavity), • Familiarity with injection molding machine operation (we’re willing to provide training for the right candidate), • Understanding of injection molding principles, including polymer behavior, residence time, deformation, and thermal expansion, • Experience with CNC machine programming and operation, • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), • Experience with precision grinding equipment, • Familiarity with cold header machines, hydraulic presses, or PLC operation, • Quality inspection experience, including in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools, • Spanish or other multilingual skillsWhy Join Us?, • Competitive salary range: $85,000 – $110,000, • Opportunity to lead and innovate in a critical manufacturing role, • Stable work environment with a well-established company serving the aerospace and military electronics industry, • Clear path for career advancement, • Comprehensive training and development programs — we invest in growing your skillsIf you’re passionate about precision manufacturing and ready to take on a leadership role where your machining expertise will be valued and developed, we want to hear from you.To apply, please submit your resume to Madison Approach Staffing Inc.
