ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Avoya Travel is hiring a full‑time, dynamic and strategic Vice President (VP) of Partnerships to lead our partnerships and promotions functions and drive the next phase of our growth. This senior leader will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive partnership and promotions strategies that increase revenue, broaden market reach, and elevate brand visibility. We’re looking for someone with experience overseeing and leading two high‑performing teams—Strategic Partnerships and Promotions—ensuring they successfully build, nurture, and grow impactful relationships with key partners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy & Leadership • Define and execute the company’s partnerships strategy (including promotions) aligned with overall business objectives., • Identify new partnership opportunities across strategic, channel, technology, and ecosystem partners., • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and close complex partnership agreements., • Build executive‑level relationships with key partners and stakeholders., • Own partnership lifecycle management from onboarding through renewal and expansion., • Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure partnership performance and ROI., • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing partnerships team., • Develop scalable processes, playbooks, and tools for partner management., • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings., • Monitor market trends, competitive partnerships, and emerging opportunities., • Deep understanding of the travel landscape, including key players, trends, and emerging opportunities., • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to drive mutually beneficial outcomes., • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with experience presenting to large audiences on stage and through virtual platforms., • Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders., • Strong negotiation, communication, and executive‑level relationship‑building skills., • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive partnership strategies aligned with business objectives., • Proven ability to create, manage, and monitor department budgets to ensure financial success and accountability., • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals., • Able to maintain productivity in a professional home setting with minimal distractions., • Requires reliable internet, consistent communication with leadership, and—when applicable—dependable childcare or eldercare arrangements., • Maintains a professional and tidy appearance (virtually or in person) during meetings and calls. EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the travel industry in an account management, business development, or strategic alliances role- with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior leadership (department head) role., • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field a plus., • Experience working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environments., • Ability to receive and setup company laptop, 15” monitor, keyboard, headset, and mouse (all less than 5-lbs each)., • Ability to work in a primary stationary job from a laptop computer (ability to accurately type, read, review, write, etc.)., • Ability to speak English clearly, in a friendly manner, and at an appropriate volume over the company’s provided phone system, Microsoft Teams, or in person as needed., • Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed., • Approximately 40% of travel (domestic and international) is required to attend industry and company events, home office, and/or meetings.
