Job Overview: The Production Associate is an entry level, administrative role, primarily responsible for assisting with procurement, shipping/receiving, tracking, and organizing manufacturing workflows both internally and with external suppliers within our FDA/ISO regulated company. The role is expected to develop technical expertise in aspects of resource and ERP management for Additive Manufacturing. The individual must possess the discipline to maintain the high level of traceability and accuracy required for medical devices. Reports to: Production Manager Essential Functions: • Company Culture and Mission:, • Consistently apply core values (Integrity, Impact, Dedication) to your decision-making process and interactions with others., • Uphold and contribute to the companys quality policy commitment., • Internal Manufacturing Workflows:, • Assist as a point of contact for and liaison with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and sales teams to establish schedules and plans allocating resources to best serve customer needs., • Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and supplies needed for manufacturing., • Maintain organized inventory records and assist with stock audits., • Compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials., • External Manufacturing Workflows:, • Interface with vendors to maintain timelines, coordinate production jobs, and continuously ensure the highest customer satisfaction with on-time deliveries., • Provide data analysis to support negotiations with vendors., • Coordinate, support, and track inbound and outbound shipments ensuring accuracy in documentation and deliveries., • Inspect received materials for accuracy and quality, reporting discrepancies as needed., • Enterprise Resource Planning Software:, • Prepare materials needed for production orders (travelers, prints, purchase orders, packing lists, shipping labels, etc.). Review production documentation and data entries for errors and make necessary corrections., • Support the team with ERP continual improvements, streamlined workflows for operators and company efficiency gains., • Support automated reporting with job status and key performance indicators (KPIs)., • Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance within the ERP system., • Provide alerts to the appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays, participate in periodic meetings with related departments., • Training and Education:, • Maintain training competencies of job functions and best practices., • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations as needed., • Communication:, • Effectively communicate production and ERP related information to supervisors, colleagues, and other relevant stakeholders., • Effectively communicate with customers on production metrics as needed., • Compliance:, • Comply with ISO 13485 Quality Management System, FDA regulators, and other medical device industry requirements as needed., • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills., • Solid verbal and written communication along with effective interpersonal skills., • Strong attention to detail., • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, One Note) and Adobe Acrobat., • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production problems., • Must be able to interact effectively at all levels of the company and handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately., • Works on assignments that are complex in nature in which judgement and initiative are required in resolving problems., • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection documents., • Positive attitude., • Customer focused behavior., • Ability to work both independently and in partnership with others., • Willingness to assist coworkers., • Ability to work well under pressure., • Technical Associate Degree or 2 to 4 years' related experience in operations preferred., • Operations experience in manufacturing and/or medical device industry preferred., • Proficiency in an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) preferred., • Experience with FedEx and International Shipments preferred.
