Job Description Role summary You will lead the full life cycle of competitive responses for housing, construction, and public–private initiatives. The focus is municipal, state and Federal RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Grants. You will convert complex requirements into clear, compliant, and persuasive submissions that align precisely with scoring criteria. The work spans strategy, writing, document production, schedule control, and final portal submittal. Key responsibilities • Build a compliance matrix for every solicitation and map each requirement to a response section, attachment, or form., • Develop a response schedule, hold internal kickoffs, and drive inputs from executives, construction, finance, and nonprofit partners., • Draft executive summaries, technical narratives, and scope descriptions that cite the RFP evaluation criteria in-line and reflect our past performance, project history, and New Mexico context., • Prepare funder-specific exhibits such as experience matrices, staffing plans, organizational charts, and resumes tailored to each submission., • Author community benefits, sustainability, and design narratives. Examples include parking and open space under Albuquerque IDO, universal design commitments, water efficiency, cool or permeable parking, EV readiness, rooftop or elevated decks, and activation of vacant parcels., • Manage version control and formatting. Deliver clean, print-ready PDFs with consistent headers and footers, bookmarks, and file naming that matches portal requirements., • Own the portal submission process, including SFFTP and other city or state systems. Validate file sizes, forms, signatures, and timestamps., • two or more years creating winning proposals or grants for government or institutional buyers., • Proven record of submitting fully compliant responses on time with measurable shortlist and award results., • Excellent writing, editing, and plain language skills. Comfortable citing evaluation criteria and threading compliance through every section., • On time submissions with zero compliance defects., • Shortlist rate, award rate, and average evaluator score improvement across quarters., • Dollar value of awards and grants secured., • Reduction in rework through template reuse and document standards.
