You will lead a multidisciplinary team across RF, systems, and software, responsible for proving that every onboard system performs reliably before the satellite ships. /p pThis is a bhands‑on leadership role /b at the core of our production. You'll spend time on the floor with your team, solving problems, improving processes, and delivering satellites at scale. We are rapidly scaling our production operations and require a leader who can build the systems and processes necessary to support this significant growth. In this role, you carry the ultimate responsibility for flight readiness: verifying that every component is perfectly integrated and engineered to survive the uncompromising environment of space. /p h3Who We Are /h3 pICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. /p pICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system. /p pICEYE‑built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future. /p pFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia‑Pacific. /p h3Your day‑to‑day responsibilities /h3 h3Leading Satellite Verification /h3 ul liOwn satellite‑level verification once integration is complete — functional and end‑to‑end system checkout /li liProve that all onboard systems (RF, avionics, power, software) perform reliably in full configuration /li liBe hands‑on: lead troubleshooting, unblock issues, keep momentum /li /ul h3Owning RF Test Characterization /h3 ul liLead RF testing and characterization of subsystems and the full satellite in the banechoic chamber /b /li liOwn RF measurement setups using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc. /li liEnsure RF test benches and chamber setups are maintained, calibrated, and compliant /li /ul h3Owning Software in Production /h3 ul liOwn onboard software loading, validation, and checkout during production verification /li liMaintain and improve test automation, scripts, and software‑supported verification flows /li liCoordinate software‑related troubleshooting with AIT engineering /li /ul h3Driving Quality, Traceability Compliance /h3 ul liOwn planning, execution, and reporting of system‑level functional tests and inspections /li liMaintain configuration control, build discipline, and full traceability /li liEnsure compliance with aerospace and RF quality standards (ECSS, NASA‑STD, etc.) /li liEnsure active team participation in root cause analysis (led by AIT Engineering) by identifying key non‑conformances, ensuring critical issues are communicated, and driving the resolution of the most impactful non‑conformances for the production line. /li /ul h3Building Scalable, Repeatable Processes /h3 ul liDevelop and improve work instructions, test procedures, and checklists with AIT Engineering and Quality /li liTurn unclear inputs into clear, usable verification processes; reduce tribal knowledge /li liDrive throughput and reduce rework while protecting quality /li /ul h3Leading Developing the Team /h3 ul liLead, coach, and grow a multidisciplinary team across RF, systems, and software /li liBuild a culture of ownership, accountability, and pride in the product /li liTrain and mentor on RF assembly/test best practices and fault diagnostics /li /ul h3Working Across Teams Scaling /h3 ul liAct as the bridge between verification and engineering (RF, systems, software, AIT) /li liCollaborate with Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and the other two production teams (Integration/Mechanical Thermal; Electronics) /li liPrepare verification for higher volumes; define and track KPIs /li /ul h3What We’re Looking For /h3 pYou don’t need to tick every box, but strong candidates typically bring: /p ul liExperience leading technical test/verification teams in a hands‑on environment /li liStrong bRF /b background — components, antennas, waveguides, RF integration flows, and complex RF system testing /li liExperience with RF test tools (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, banechoic chambers /b) /li liExperience in bfunctional and system‑level testing /b of complex systems /li liComfort with bsoftware in test /b — flight software loading/validation, test automation, scripting /li liAbility to read and interpret RF schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures /li liWorking knowledge of bECSS / NASA‑STD /b quality and workmanship requirements /li liA hands‑on mindset, strong cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous‑improvement focus /li liStrong communication across engineers, technicians, and stakeholders /li /ul h3What Success Looks Like /h3 ul liEvery satellite is verified reliably, predictably, and to standard before it ships /li liRF, system, and software verification processes are clear, structured, and scalable /li liProblems are isolated and solved at the root, not patched /li liThe team takes full ownership of verification quality and traceability /li liVerification keeps pace with ICEYE’s growth /li /ul h3Why This Role Is Interesting /h3 ul liYou own the moment of truth — proving the satellite works end‑to‑end /li liYou'll bring RF, systems, and software verification together under one scope /li liYou'll shape how verification is done, not just follow existing processes /li liYou'll work at the intersection of engineering and production, where decisions have immediate impact /li /ul h3Application Process /h3 ul liTalent Acquisition Interview /li liHiring Manager General Interview /li liTechnical Interview, including a Technical Challenge /li liHiring Team Interview /li liVP Interview /li /ul h3Working at ICEYE /h3 pAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
