Join our team as a Citrix Engineer and be part of the cutting‑edge IT innovations at our client Hubs, a leading multinational bank. The team You will be working according to modern delivery practices (Agile, Scrum, Continuous Delivery) within complex and security‑critical IT environments. As part of the Proximity Hosting Solutions team, you will contribute to the design, automation, hardening, and operation of a secure, high‑performance platform used by multiple DevOps teams and Financial Markets applications. The Proximity Hosting Solutions team is responsible for managing and securing the IT infrastructure hosted in Equinix Data Centres in Frankfurt and managed by Getronics. The environment supports Financial Markets applications such as KDB, Ullink, MarketView, GEP and Horizon, enabling our client to operate on major exchanges, including the Frankfurt Eurex Exchange. As a Citrix Engineer, your focus is to embed security into every layer of the delivery and operational lifecycle, ensuring resilient, compliant, high‑quality infrastructure and platforms for the business. Focus and priorities Business as Usual & License to Operate • Monitor and support Citrix infrastructure (VDI and published applications), • Troubleshoot user issues (logins, sessions, performance, connectivity), • Manage Citrix components (Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, Studio), • Handle escalations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement fixes, • Support application publishing and user access management, • Optimize performance (logon times, session stability, profile management), • Coordinate with Wintel, Network, and Security teams, • Perform patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance, • Maintain documentation and support change/release processes Patch and Vulnerability Management • Manage and implement patching for Citrix components, including Virtual Apps and Desktops, ADC (NetScaler), StoreFront, and supporting infrastructure, • Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities across the Citrix environment using security tools and vendor advisories, • Perform regular vulnerability scans and ensure timely remediation to maintain platform security, • Coordinate patching activities with stakeholders to minimize user impact and ensure service continuity, • Ensure compliance with security policies, Citrix best practices, and audit requirements through effective patch and vulnerability management Our way of working Teams use Scrum and Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices. You will work on externally hosted (private cloud) infrastructure environments for Financial Markets — a fast-paced, complex, and continuously evolving area where quality and resilience are critical. As a Citrix Engineer, you need: • Residency in Spain is required Knowledge and experience • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), • Citrix StoreFront, Director, Studio, Workspace, • Citrix ADC (NetScaler) – basic to intermediate, • VDI concepts (MCS/PVS provisioning), • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025), Active Directory, GPO, • Profile management (FSLogix / Citrix Profile Management), • Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, ICA protocol), • Virtualization: VMware / Hyper-V, • Experience with infrastructure hardening, patching, configuration management, and compliance Competencies • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, • Customer-focused mindset and strong collaboration skills, • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, • Willingness to continuously improve skills, tools, and practices Nice to have • Microsoft Windows Server certifications, • PowerShell scripting for automation, • Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) / Professional (CCP), • Endpoint management (Intune/SCCM), • Monitoring and performance tools, • Strong experience in Citrix design, troubleshooting, and optimization Rewards and benefits We value your work-life balance and offer competitive benefits.
