We are looking for an experienced and meticulously organised Butler (Private Client) to join our team. Note: This position is offered on a self-employed contractor basis, meaning successful candidates will operate as independent contractors, invoicing us for services rendered. Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated, dog-loving, and discreet Butler to provide seamless support to a private client. This role is designed for a proactive professional who excels at anticipating needs, ensuring the client’s daily life remains effortless and refined. The successful candidate will balance traditional high-level service with a "can do” attitude, overseeing everything from the attentive care of pets and wardrobe valeting to the expert management of digital and technical systems. Responsibilities will include: • Provide comprehensive support to the client, managing all aspects of their personal and professional life to ensure all needs are met with exceptional standards., • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted liaison for all daily operations., • Coordinate all aspects of travel, including the packing and unpacking of personal belongings., • Take full ownership of the client’s wardrobe, providing expert valeting, seasonal rotations, and laundry care, ensuring every garment is handled with the highest level of precision., • Provide dedicated care for the household dogs, ensuring their wellbeing, exercise, and medical schedules are managed with affection and reliability., • Manage purchasing, inventory, and stock, including high-value items such as art, wine, clothing, and personal care products. Proactively anticipate the needs of the client and guests to ensure complete satisfaction., • Collaborate with a wider team of household staff (chefs, drivers, housekeepers) across multiple residences to ensure a consistent, "seamless" standard of service., • Manage and maintain all household electronics and personal technology, ensuring systems are updated, functional, and intuitive for the client’s immediate use., • Oversee the preparation of primary and temporary residences, ensuring the environment is perfectly tuned to the client’s specific preferences and technical requirements upon arrival., • Collaborate with and direct a wider team, including drivers, chefs, wellness staff, and housekeepers to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery. Requirements include: • A minimum of 3 years’ experience providing high-level support to a principal with an extensive international travel schedule., • European passport holder., • Available to start immediately., • A service-oriented mindset is essential to ensure the seamless operation of the client's life., • Exceptional organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving., • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in team management and delegation., • Outstanding interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships., • A strong understanding of modern technology, with the ability to troubleshoot and ensure the functionality of various electronics, software and digital tools., • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds., • Proficiency in planning and maintaining complex inventories across multiple locations., • Fluent in both written and spoken English, with impeccable communication skills., • Flexibility to travel extensively is a key part of this role., • A valid driving licence is desirable.
