About SPORT[GEN] Summit SPORT[GEN] Summit is Europe's premier sport business summit, a high-conviction gathering of 1,500+ C-level executives, founders, investors, rights holders, and the world's top sport business leaders, held each year in the heart of Paris during Roland Garros. We are building the Davos of sport business: a platform where the quality of the agenda sets the tone for the entire event. About the Role 6 months paid internship starting in September, October or November 2026. We’re looking for a sharp, structured and business-minded Chief of Staff to operate as a strategic extension of the founders. You will help the co-founders think clearly, move fast and execute flawlessly across strategy, ops and partnerships. No two days will look the same: one day you’re refining the commercial plan, the next you’re preparing a board deck or coordinating with a global sponsor. This is an entrepreneurial role with a lot of ownership and exposure. During the run-up to the event and during the event itself, you will be the primary point of contact for speakers, vendors, attendees, volunteers and members of the SPORT[GEN] team, and will be expected to ensure that all cogs in the system function smoothly. Key Responsibilities Strategic & analytical • Support the founders on key strategic topics: positioning, pricing, growth roadmap, expansion., • Own and maintain our core models and dashboards (sales pipeline, P&L, KPIs, event performance)., • Prepare materials for investors, partners and the board (decks, memos, one-pagers). Project management • Drive cross-functional projects (startup competition, speaker onboarding, marketing, operations) and make sure things ship on time., • Translate high-level priorities into concrete plans, owners and timelines., • Anticipate roadblocks, propose solutions and keep everyone aligned., • Come up with ways to make the organisation more efficient, and iron out deficiencies within its functioning., • Assisting with sales, organisation and production related matters as and when necessary. Business & partnerships • Support us on key sponsor / exhibitor / ticketing deals: research, prepping meetings, follow-ups, drafting proposals., • Help coordinate speakers and VIPs with the founders (scheduling, briefs, logistics interface with ops). You'll be involved as much as you can., • Run competitive and market intelligence: mapping events, players, trends and opportunities., • Managing key sponsorship deals, speaker relationships and the on-ground functioning of the event. Leverage for the founders • Act as a sparring partner for the co-founders on major decisions and prioritization., • Act as the link between the founders and the other members of the team, and aid communication within the team., • Until the event, you will be focused on building out the event and making sure it is executed well. After its conclusion (if your internship term permits), you will be responsible for helping assess its results and plan out the next steps for the company. Requirements Required • Native or full professional fluency in English (French is a plus; other languages welcome)., • Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in management, sports management, events, media, or a related field., • Genuine, demonstrable interest in sport business: you follow the field, have opinions, and can hold a substantive conversation about it., • Strong research and analytical writing skills: you can synthesise complex topics and communicate them clearly and precisely. Confident interacting with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives and prominent figures in the sport industry., • Structured, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with some ambiguity., • The openness to go above and beyond, work on weekends and put in long hours in the buildup to the event. Ideal Profile • Experience in a similar role at a young company, and experience in a fast-moving, chaotic ecosystem., • Familiarity with the sport business ecosystem: key players, investment dynamics, media rights, sponsorship, sport tech deployment patterns., • Familiarity with some of the following: CRM softwares, AI agents, media/content creation and event production., • A natural ability to build relationships with people who are busy and selective about their time.
