Arden White are currently recruiting for a Reliability Engineer with a leading aviation company supporting commercial aircraft MRO operations on a global scale. The Reliability Engineer is a technically focused, data-driven engineering role where youll take ownership of reliability performance, lead root cause investigations, and deliver engineering solutions that directly impact fleet availability, cost efficiency, and operational performance. The Reliability Engineerwill act as a key interface between engineering, supply chain, OEMs, and airline customers, driving continuous improvement across component reliability and maintenance strategies. Responsibilities of the Reliability Engineer • Perform in-depth reliability analysis on aircraft systems and components, identifying trends in failures, removals, and operational disruptions, • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities on complex component failures, utilising engineering data, shop findings, and operational feedback, • Monitor and report on critical reliability KPIs such as MTBUR, removals per 1000 flight hours, NFF (No Fault Found), and repeat defects, • Develop and implement engineering solutions, retrofit programmes, and reliability improvement plans, • Define and optimise repair schemes, workscopes, and test plans in collaboration with MRO facilities and OEMs, • Conduct technical investigations with component manufacturers and airline operators to drive performance improvements and cost reductions, • Produce technical reports, business cases, and cost-benefit analyses to support engineering decisions, • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, • Act as the technical representative in customer reliability and engineering review meetings, • Identify recurring issues and implement preventative strategies to improve on-wing time, • Degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline, • Proven experience in aircraft reliability engineering, MRO, or component engineering, • Strong understanding of aircraft systems (ATA chapters), component behaviour, and failure modes, • Experience with RCA methodologies (e.g. 5 Whys, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis), • Ability to interpret technical documentation including CMMs, AMMs, engineering drawings, and OEM data, • Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, reliability tools, or similar), • Confident communicator with experience presenting to customers and senior stakeholders, • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical and cost-driven decisionsWhy This Role?, • Join a leading aviation organisation supporting major airline fleets, • Work on high-impact reliability projects with real operational value, • Exposure to global engineering teams and international customers JBRP1_UKTJ
