Nora is not your typical Turkish restaurant. Brought to life by brothers Ozgur and Sidar Akyuz, Nora is a refreshing and free-spirited take on Turkish cuisine, built on the vibrancy of Anatolian small plates, the best of British produce, and a no-rules, no-dogma approach to creativity. This is a restaurant where hospitality leads the way, where every dish tells a story of heritage and innovation, and where the energy of Canary Wharf meets the warmth of Istanbul’s kitchens. About the Role As a Senior Receptionist, you will play a key role in both guest relations and floor operations at Nora. This is not a standalone reservations role or a purely front-desk position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the reservations side of the business while also being an active and experienced part of the floor management team. Since we don't have a separate reservations department, this role is a great fit for someone passionate about reservations, guest experience, and service flow, with solid restaurant floor experience and confidence stepping in to support and lead during busy services. You will be responsible for managing the booking diary, overseeing the door, coordinating guest arrivals and table flow, and working closely with management to ensure service runs smoothly from start to finish. During peak moments, you will also be expected to support the floor team, help manage service pressure, and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a small, ambitious independent restaurant, where every team member makes a real impact and helps the business grow. About You You are warm, organised, and naturally guest-focused, with a strong understanding of how a busy restaurant operates. You are passionate about reservations and understand how important they are to the success of the business, but you are equally comfortable on the floor and know how to support service when needed. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team building something special. Your Responsibilities Reservations & Guest Experience Take ownership of the reservations diary, including bookings, confirmations, waitlists, and guest notes • Manage the door with confidence, warmth, and professionalism, • Ensure every guest receives a genuine and memorable welcome, • Anticipate guest needs, preferences, and special requests, • Maximise covers while protecting the quality of the guest experience, • Help shape and improve the reservations strategy as the restaurant grows Floor & Service Support • Work alongside the Restaurant Manager and floor team to manage service flow, • Support the floor during busy periods and key service moments, • Communicate clearly with the bar, kitchen, and floor teams to maintain smooth operations, • Assist with table management, pacing, and resolving service bottlenecks, • Be a reliable senior presence during high-pressure services Team Contribution • Act as an important link between the reservations side and the floor team, • Share useful guest feedback and booking insights with management, • Help maintain a culture of warm, thoughtful, professional hospitality, • Support the wider team in building a strong and successful independent restaurant Requirements • Previous experience in a busy, quality-focused restaurant, • Strong reservations experience and confidence using booking platforms, • Solid floor experience and a good understanding of service operations, • Excellent organisational and communication skills, • Ability to stay calm, positive, and solutions-focused under pressure, • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience, • Professional, reliable, and excited to be part of a growing independent business This Role Is For You If... • You love hospitality and believe great service starts well before guests sit down, • You are passionate about reservations, but do not want to be stuck behind a desk, • You have strong floor experience and enjoy being part of the service, • You want to play an important role in a small independent restaurant where you can make a real difference, • You are excited by the idea of helping a growing business develop and succeed

    London

Barista & Front of House Host Tempo Golf Club · Queen’s Park, London NW6 Hours: 30 hours per week. Start date: May 2026 Shift patterns: 06:30–15:00 | 15:00–22:30 You’ll need to be comfortable working evenings and weekends. ABOUT TEMPO Tempo Golf Club is a modern indoor golf and social club on Lonsdale Road in Queen’s Park. We’re here to shake up the stuffy golf scene and bring the game back to life — where tradition meets wit, and everyone plays with a bit more style and a lot less seriousness. We’re not a hushed members’ club or somewhere you feel like you need to “know the rules” before walking in. We’re a neighbourhood club. Cold drinks, great coffee, quick repartee, and golf that’s meant to be enjoyed — not overthought. THE ROLE This is a hybrid Front of House role built for someone who likes pace, people, and variety. One minute you’re pulling a flat white. Next you’re hosting a group of 12. Then you’re behind the bar, resetting a simulator bay, or sorting a booking. No two shifts are the same — and that’s exactly the point. You’re the person who keeps the whole venue flowing. COFFEE, BAR & DRINKS Crafting high-quality coffee and matcha during the day Running evening bar service (beer, wine, cocktails, low-intervention drinks) Keeping the bar sharp, stocked, and ready Knowing the menu well enough to actually guide guests Safe, confident operation of all bar equipment FRONT OF HOUSE Welcoming guests with energy and ease Managing check-ins and flow of play across simulator bays Handling bookings, calls, and walk-in enquiries Taking payments via POS systems Supporting simulator setup, basic troubleshooting, and guest support Helping deliver smooth group bookings and private events. VENUE OPERATIONS Opening and closing the venue properly and on time Resetting simulator bays between sessions (balls, tees, clubs, screens) Keeping all guest areas clean, tidy, and ready for the next wave Regular cleaning of high-touch points and shared spaces General housekeeping (we all chip in — this is part of the job) Reporting faults or issues quickly so nothing gets missed Following food hygiene, allergen, and responsible alcohol service standards. We’re building a venue people want to spend time in — not just pass through. That only works if the team cares about how it feels when someone walks through the door. HOW TO APPLY If this sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you. Send your CV and a short note telling us why you’d be a good fit for us.
