Key Responsibilities: • Deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons that inspire participation and progress., • Use sport and activity to promote confidence, emotional wellbeing, and teamwork., • Support learners with autism, ADHD and SEMH needs through adaptive, relational teaching., • Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and LSAs to create joined-up support for every child., • Lead enrichment opportunities — from fixtures to outdoor adventures — that get students active and thriving. You’re not just a teacher — you’re a motivator, mentor, and natural leader who brings energy, empathy, and an unshakeable belief in every young person’s potential. • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, • Experience teaching PE — ideally with young people who have SEN or SEMH needs, • A creative, adaptable teaching style, • Strong behaviour management with a focus on relationships and trust, • An understanding of how movement supports mental health and emotional regulation The Wenlock School opened in September 2018. We are a co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 7-18 with a range of complex needs including a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and also pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism.
