Band 4 Salary from $129585.33 Super per annum TasNetworks is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Asset Performance and Risk Engineer to join our high-performing Operations this pivotal role youll help ensure the reliability safety and compliance of our electricity transmission distribution and telecommunications assets while driving improvements that make a real difference to the communities we serve. As an Asset Performance and Risk Engineer youll be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of our asset base and investment programs ensuring decisions are informed by data and driven by a clear understanding of risk. Youll play a central role in maintaining our asset performance and risk framework while reporting on the performance of our feeders networks and communities to meet both internal standards and external regulatory obligations. This role will see you • Evaluate the performance of distribution transmission and telecommunications systems to identify risks inefficiencies non-compliance issues and emerging limitations, • Provide technical analysis and advice on asset performance and risk and support compliance reporting, • Maintain clear visibility of asset risk across the business and advise on risk prioritisation, • Recommend and support the implementation of solutions to performance and risk challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams, • Scope and support performance improvement projects across the asset lifecycle As a qualified Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a strategic mindset you understand the complexities of energy networks and can see the big picture without losing sight of the details. Your analytical strengths coupled with your ability to interpret performance data to a diverse audience youre able to influence decisions and drive meaningful improvements. Youll be comfortable navigating the regulatory landscape and have experience applying engineering methodologies to real-world asset and system challenges. Most importantly youre someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings others along on the journey toward change and improvement. Were looking for someone with - • A degree in Engineering (electrical or related field preferred), • A sound understanding of the electricity utility industry and the assets within the network, • Familiarity with relevant performance and compliance standards such as the Tasmanian Electricity Code and National Electricity Rules, • Experience applying principles of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), • A clear understanding of risk management across the asset lifecycle from planning to operation and renewal, • Proven ability to lead others in identifying opportunities and embedding change in systems and processes, • Experience in business intelligence (BI) reporting with a strong ability to communicate performance insights that shape asset strategy This is a Permanent full-time opportunity based out of our Cambridge depot offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.
