Commercial Finance Analyst | Part Qualified | Wigan | Permanent | £35-45k \n We’re recruiting a Commercial Finance Analyst for a successful, well-established manufacturing organisation in Wigan. Working closely with the Commercial, Marketing and Transport teams, you’ll provide the financial insight that supports operational and commercial decision-making. \n This would suit a part-qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant or an experienced finance professional who has developed through experience and is keen to gain a professional qualification. \n As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will act as a finance business partner to key operational stakeholders, taking ownership of commercial and marketing overheads alongside the full P&L for the transport operation. \n Responsibilities will include: \n\n • Producing weekly and monthly commercial and operational analysis.\n, • Reviewing sales, margins and performance variances.\n, • Identifying the key drivers behind financial performance and translating them into meaningful insight.\n, • Managing commercial and marketing overheads, including accruals and prepayments.\n, • Taking responsibility for the transport fleet P&L.\n, • Presenting financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.\n, • Supporting internal and external audit requirements.\n, • Ensuring financial and operational data is accurate across the company’s ERP and reporting systems.\n, • Improving and standardising finance processes across different sites.\n, • Supporting wider finance projects and requirements when needed.\n\n For this Commercial Analyst role,we’re looking for someone who is: \n\n • Part-qualified through CIMA or ACCA, or qualified by experience with an ambition to gain accreditation.\n, • Experienced in a Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, Commercial Accountant or similar role.\n, • Comfortable working with accruals, prepayments and P&L reporting.\n, • Confident analysing large datasets and explaining the story behind the numbers.\n, • Able to build strong relationships with commercial and operational stakeholders.\n, • Comfortable working at pace within a deadline-driven environment.\n, • Proactive, ambitious and keen to develop their commercial finance and business-partnering experience.\n, • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment would be particularly beneficial.\n\n The position will involve travel between company sites, so access to your own vehicle will be required. \n For this role, you get a fantastic benefits package which includes: \n\n • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with option to buy/sell\n, • Study support\n, • Life assurance\n, • Employee Assistance Programme and remote GP service.\n, • BUPA healthcare\n, • Funded professional and personal development opportunities.\n, • Retail discount\n, • Recognition awards and regular employee engagement events.\n, • Annual volunteering day.\n, • Long-term development opportunities within a large and successful international group.\n\n
