Position: SENCO Location: Barnet Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: January 2026 Key Responsibilities – SENCO • Lead and coordinate the provision for pupils with SEND across the school., • Work closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies to develop tailored interventions., • Oversee the assessment, monitoring and review of pupils with additional needs., • Ensure statutory responsibilities are met, including maintaining and reviewing EHCPs., • Provide guidance, training and support to staff to develop inclusive classroom practice., • Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring clear communication and collaborative working., • Contribute to whole-school development with a focus on inclusion, wellbeing and achievement. What We’re Looking For – SENCO • A qualified teacher with UK QTS and NASENCO/NPQSENCO, • Proven experience working with pupils with a diverse range of needs in a primary setting., • Strong understanding of SEND policy, statutory requirements and effective intervention strategies., • A reflective practitioner with excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills., • A proactive, empathetic and collaborative approach to supporting children, families and staff., • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, caring and aspirational school culture.
