Job Title: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire Type: Full-time, Term-time only Start Date: September Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 student. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the student receives the tailored assistance they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff members to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide individualised support and guidance to a specific student, catering to their unique learning needs and abilities., • Assist the student in accessing the curriculum, adapting teaching materials and methods as necessary., • Foster positive relationships with the student, promoting confidence, self-esteem, and independence., • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively, maintaining a supportive and respectful environment., • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalised learning plans., • Monitor the student's progress, providing feedback and reporting any concerns to relevant stakeholders., • Support the student during transitions between activities and settings, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.
