Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier/Delivery Driver to join our team. Must have own car/van. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the company's reputation for prompt service. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational ability, and strong communication with clients and team members. Responsibilities • Safely operate vehicles, including vans or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations., • Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption., • Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit., • Deliver parcels, documents, or other items to specified addresses within designated timeframes., • Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery from recipients., • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes., • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly., • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred., • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record., • Experience in commercial driving or operating larger vehicles such as vans or lorries is advantageous., • Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with heavy lifting tasks are desirable., • Strong organisational skills to plan routes effectively and manage deliveries efficiently., • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally., • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and punctuality., • Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing during shifts.
