The candidate will also collaborate closely with the team to co-ordinate and assist with the programming/scheduling of elements of the project to ensure a successful contract delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing strip-out and demolition works across commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and compliant tenders. This is an office based role that would need to attend site sometime. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates for strip-out and demolition projects * Review drawings, specifications, surveys, and tender documents * Conduct site visits to assess scope, access, logistics, and risks * Quantify works including labour, plant, materials, waste, and specialist subcontractors * Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams * Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities * Ensure compliance with health & safety, asbestos, and environmental regulations * Submit tenders within deadlines and assist with post-tender negotiations * Maintain cost data, pricing schedules, and tender records Requirements * At least 5-year experience as an Estimator within strip-out * Strong understanding of demolition methods, and sequencing * Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation (CDM, asbestos awareness, waste management) * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications * Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills * Proficient in Excel and estimating ...
