Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a variety of hot Japanese takeaway dishes, such as ramen, donburi, teriyaki, tempura, and yakitori , along with fresh sushi preparation when needed. - Develop a seasonal takeaway menu , ensuring the highest quality of ingredients and presentation. - Master and execute traditional Japanese cooking techniques, including grilling, frying, and precise knife work, to ensure consistency in every dish. - Source and manage premium Japanese ingredients , working with suppliers to maintain freshness and authenticity. - Manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced takeaway environment , ensuring that food is prepared quickly and efficiently without compromising on quality. - Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, adhering to local regulations. - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service during peak hours. - Innovate and introduce specials or fusion dishes to keep the menu dynamic and appealing to a diverse customer base.
