We serve delicious Jamaican and Caribbean food and are looking for people who are passionate about food, customer service and working in a busy market environment. Job Title: Food Stall Assistant / Kitchen Assistant Location: Brixton Market, Popes Road, London Working Days: Tuesday – Saturday Opening Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm Hours: part-time available/ full time available Shifts to be discussed Pay: To be discussed, depending on experience and responsibilities. Main Duties and Responsibilities ● Providing friendly and welcoming customer service. ● Serving customers and taking food orders accurately. ● Assisting with food preparation and plating meals. ● Keeping the food stall, kitchen equipment and work surfaces clean and tidy. ● Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment. ● Restocking food, drinks, containers and other supplies. ● Helping with setting up and packing down the stall. ● Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures. ● Handling cash and card payments when required. ● Working efficiently during busy periods and supporting other team members. ● Helping to maintain the quality and presentation of our food. What We’re Looking For ● Someone reliable, punctual and hardworking. ● A friendly, positive attitude and good communication skills. ● Someone who can work well as part of a team. ● The ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor market environment. ● Someone willing to learn, take instructions and show initiative. ● Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is important. ● A good understanding of food hygiene is desirable.
