Senior ICT Applications Support Officer Location: Oldham (Hybrid 37 hours per week) Reporting to: ICT Systems and Service Delivery Manager Salary: £43,563 Contract: Permanent First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior ICT Applications Support Officer to join our ICT team and play a key role in providing an efficient, effective and customer-focused ICT applications support service across the business. This is a full-time, hybrid role where you’ll split your time between home and our friendly and collaborative office in the centre of Oldham. The impact you’ll make In this role, you will provide technical support, guidance and expertise across our ICT systems and applications to help us deliver excellent digital services. You’ll work as part of the ICT Applications Team to ensure our systems remain stable, secure, available and perform to a high standard. You’ll also support system upgrades, application development, ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing across the organisation. You will: • Work as part of the ICT Applications Team to develop, support and administer FCHO ICT applications, resolving incidents in line with SLAs and policies., • Deliver ICT projects and changes using structured frameworks and methodologies., • Lead system upgrades and changes, ensuring smooth transition into business-as-usual, with colleague and ICT team training delivered., • Administer and support business systems to ensure a secure, available and recoverable ICT environment, completing operational checks and monitoring., • Manage system and user administration for core applications ensuring adherence to security requirements and data integrity standards., • Share knowledge with the wider ICT team through documentation, training and team meetings., • Ensure ICT knowledge base articles and support documentation are developed and maintained., • Manage incidents and requests, logging, categorising and progressing calls to resolution., • Liaise with ICT colleagues and third parties to ensure SLAs are met, • Provide Service Desk cover when required., • Train, mentor and support the ICT Applications Support Officer and contribute to succession planning. Our ideal candidate You will be an experienced and proactive problem solver with an eye for detail and strong technical skills. You’ll take ownership of your workload and demonstrate a positive approach to delivering excellent customer service. You will understand ICT systems and applications and be confident both delivering and supporting ICT changes. You will have: • ITIL V3 or working towards (to be achieved within 1 year)., • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office., • Ability to create user guides, knowledge articles and technical documentation., • Experience supporting business systems and applications., • Experience delivering IT system improvement projects., • Experience supporting repairs & scheduling systems, or similar., • Experience maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting ICT systems., • Experience supporting Northgate housing management systems., • Experience supporting Business Objects, Microsoft SQL or similar technologies., • Knowledge of the social housing sector and relevant ICT applications., • SQL knowledge, including writing statements.
