Job Title: Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home Location: Herne Bay, Kent Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per year Contract: Full-time | Permanent Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join a children’s residential home in Herne Bay, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As a Team Leader, you will support the management team in leading and motivating residential care staff, ensuring the home provides high-quality, safe, and nurturing care in line with Ofsted standards and Children’s Homes Regulations. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and support a team of residential care staff., • Assist in delivering high-quality care in line with children’s individual care plans., • Lead by example to ensure positive behaviour management and a safe environment., • Monitor and contribute to staff performance, development, and training., • Assist the management team with roster planning, incident reporting, and risk assessments., • Promote a positive and inclusive home culture for staff and residents., • Liaise with social workers, families, and external agencies to ensure children’s needs are met., • Previous experience working in residential childcare., • Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role desirable., • Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding practices., • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills., • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Level 5 desirable)., • Competitive salary of £34,000 – £38,000 per year., • Opportunities for professional development and training., • Supportive and collaborative working environment.
