Health & Safety Manager Location: Bradford / Yorkshire Salary: Circa £55k - £60k plus benefits Cosmetics, Medical Devices & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Health & Safety Manager / About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve health, safety, quality, and compliance across our clients manufacturing operations. Operating within a highly regulated environment covering cosmetics, medical devices, and pharmaceutical products, this role is critical in ensuring both regulatory excellence and a strong, positive safety culture. You will manage a small Health & Safety and Quality team, take ownership of the ISO management systems, and play a key role in preparing the business for ISO 13485 accreditation. Health & Safety Manager / Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and develop a small Health & Safety and Quality team, ensuring clear priorities and high performance, • Drive a positive, proactive health and safety culture across all levels of the organisation, • Develop, implement, and maintain robust H&S policies, procedures, and safe systems of work, • Act as the management lead for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, including audits, continuous improvement, and compliance, • Lead the planning, implementation, and certification journey for ISO 13485, • Manage internal and external audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives, • Ensure compliance with relevant UK health & safety legislation and industry best practice, • Support manufacturing, engineering, and operational teams with practical, risk-based safety solutions, • Monitor performance through KPIs, incident investigation, and trend analysis, • Liaise with regulators, certification bodies, and external stakeholders as required Health & Safety Manager / About You You will be a confident leader with experience in regulated manufacturing environments and a passion for improving safety culture. Essential: • Hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent, • Proven experience in a Health & Safety management role within manufacturing, • Experience managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems, • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing small teams, • Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation and risk management, • Experience driving behavioural and cultural change in health and safety Desirable: • Experience within cosmetics, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries, • Experience implementing or preparing for ISO 13485, • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or relevant professional qualification, • Internal or Lead Auditor qualification What We Offer • The opportunity to play a key role in shaping health, safety, and quality across a growing business, • Gain qualifications in ISO systems, environmental and H&S Development, • Involvement in achieving ISO 13485 accreditation, • A collaborative leadership role with real influence, • Competitive salary and benefits package
