Head of Sales Role Overview The successful candidate is responsible for generating new business, nurturing existing accounts, and meeting revenue targets through consultative selling. The role combines prospecting, relationship building, product knowledge, and pipeline management. Key Responsibilities • Lead generation — Identify and qualify new prospects through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and events., • Sales presentations — Deliver compelling product or service demonstrations tailored to customer needs., • Pipeline management — Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast sales, and manage opportunities through each stage., • Account management — Build long-term relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities., • Negotiation & closing — Handle objections, negotiate terms, and close deals that meet revenue and margin goals. Required Skills & Competencies • Communication — Clear, confident verbal and written communication with the ability to adapt to different audiences., • Persuasion & negotiation — Ability to influence decisions, handle objections, and reach mutually beneficial agreements., • Relationship building — Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly., • Commercial awareness — Understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and value propositions., • Organisation & time management — Ability to prioritise tasks, manage a busy pipeline, and meet deadlines., • Proven track record in sales., • Experience meeting or exceeding revenue targets., • Full UK driving licence (if field-based).
