Contract type:Full time, permanent Location:Home based, with occasional travel to offices in Nuneaton and Cowley Salary:£50,000 plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employeeassistanceprogramme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme About the Job Your role is critical to securing Uniparts future success in Strategic and Public Sector Bids, across all sectors including Defence, Aerospace, Rail and more. You will be involved in an array of Unipart's largest strategic/public sector bids. The core purpose of the role is to translate complexlogistics, engineering, and digital solution designs into high-scoring, compliant, and compelling narrative responses. You will act as the lead pen for technical quality submissions, interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract raw intelligence and turning it into a Gold Standard submission that meets the rigorous requirements of strategic clients. You will hold an existing understanding of defence bidding in the public sector environment. As part of your key responsibilities,youll: • Draft, edit, and proofread high-quality technical responses on strategic public sector bids - ensuring all narratives are articulate, concise, and persuasive, • Proactively interview and interrogate internal Subject Matter Experts (Operations, IT, HR, Supply Chain) to extract the technical detailrequiredto answer complex questions, • Analyse tender questions to break down requirements, ensuring every sentence contributes to the scoringmethodologyand full compliance with customer standards, • Lead storyboard sessions to structure answers before writing begins, ensuring the Win Strategy and Ghosting of competitors are embedded in the draft, • Manage the feedback loop from review stages, specifically addressing criticism to improve the score of the final document, • Convert internal Unipart terminology into client-facing benefits, • Manage the rigorous document controlrequiredfor high-security bids, ensuring security classification handling, • Excellent writing skills, • Experience of defence bidding in the public sector, • Experience of using AI best practices within bid writing, • Articulate, with strong verbal and presentation skills, • A proficient user of Microsoft Office, in particular PowerPoint and Word, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage resources/output timelines, • Used to working under pressure and to challenging deadlines with energy and passion, and will have the flexibility to deal with change JBRP1_UKTJ
