Aftersales Sales Executive Scotland & Northern England | Complex Technical Sales £42K-£45K Base + Car Allowance + 10% Commission SC Clearance Eligibility / Holder required Are you a natural hunter with a proven track record in complex B2B sales? Exceeding all performance targets, they've secured over £70M in orders and are now expanding aggressively across the UK. The Opportunity: This is a brand new role (not a replacement) created to support their Northern expansion strategy. You'll be the catalyst for growth in Scotland and Northern England - building pipeline, hunting new opportunities, and developing high-value maintenance contracts across their existing installed base. What You'll Be Doing: • 60% Hunter / 40% Farmer - Proactive new business development (cold calling, site visits, door-knocking) combined with growing existing accounts, • Targeting maintenance contracts, service agreements, and upgrade opportunities across a diverse client base, • Managing complex, consultative sales cycles (often 6-24 months) in highly regulated environments, • Building relationships with facilities managers, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders, • Owning your pipeline in Salesforce - quotes submitted and conversion rates are your KPIs, • Collaborating with technical estimators and engineers who'll support your quotes The Sectors: You'll be selling into some of the UK's most demanding and regulated industries including: • Defence & MOD sites, • Nuclear facilities (civil & defence), • Aviation & airports, • Rail & transport infrastructure, • Offshore oil & gas (Aberdeen focus), • Critical national infrastructure What We're Looking For: • 2-5+ years B2B sales experience with a proven track record of new business generation and deal closure, • Hunter mentality - comfortable with cold outreach, building pipeline from scratch, and long sales cycles, • Experience in regulated/technical industries - defence, nuclear, oil & gas, aviation, rail, or similar sectors preferred, • SC Security Clearance eligible - ESSENTIAL (company will support application if not currently held), • Full UK driving license & mobility across Scotland and Northern England What's On Offer: Compensation: • £42K-£45K base salary + car allowance + 10% commission/bonus structure, • Realistic Year 1 OTE: £50K-£55K | Year 2+: £60K-£65K+ as territory develops Career Progression: • 6-12 months: Senior Sales Executive promotion opportunity, • 18-24 months: Sales Manager role as team expands, • 2-3 years: Business Unit Manager (Northern/Ireland regions developing), • Real progression track record: Current team members promoted from Sales Exec to Senior roles to BU Manager positions as the division has grown Growth & Development: • Part of a winning team: Join an aftersales division that's grown from standing start to £3.6M turnover in 4 years - this growth creates genuine advancement opportunities, • Invest in your development: Company lives by "investing in people" - internal promotions are the norm, not the exception, • Full product training provided: You don't need industry expertise - they'll teach you.
