Freedom is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager to spearhead our Cable Engineering Services contract with Northern Powergrid. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of services across the region. Your Key Responsibilities\n As an Electrical Project Manager, you will: \n\n • Oversee day-to-day operations for fault works, ensuring delivery to specification, on time, and within budget.\n, • Lead and manage a dynamic team of Field Managers, Supervisors, Planners, Engineers, and Site Operatives.\n, • Act as the main operational contact with Northern Powergrid, fostering strong client relationships.\n, • Ensure compliance with all HSQE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.\n, • Manage multiple fault projects from planning through to energisation and handover.\n, • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project demands.\n, • Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to achieve contract performance targets.\n, • Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, including RAMS and as-built records.\n, • Liaise with local authorities, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to support delivery.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n Essential Qualifications: \n\n • Experience in a senior operational role within cable installation, utilities, or power distribution.\n, • Strong knowledge of LV/HV cable networks, ideally within a DNO environment.\n, • Understanding of fault processes within a regulated utility environment.\n, • Proven leadership and team management skills.\n, • Strong client and stakeholder management abilities.\n, • Good commercial awareness and contract management experience.\n, • NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.\n, • Full UK Driving Licence.\n\n Desirable Qualifications: \n\n • Experience working on Northern Powergrid contracts.\n, • Streetworks knowledge.\n, • Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM).\nWhy Join Us?\n At Freedom, we believe in evolving our benefits to attract and retain the best talent.
