Category Manager - Indirect Doncaster Hybrid-working £50,000 base salary Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a leading UK consumer-focused organisation to recruit an Indirect Category Manager. This is a high-impact role within a large, complex business, supporting procurement activity across a broad range of Goods and Services Not for Resale (GNFR) categories. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering value, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring robust procurement governance while supporting the wider business strategy. The Indirect Category Manager will act as a trusted commercial partner to stakeholders across the organisation, leading sourcing and category activity across indirect spend areas and balancing value with service expectations. Key responsibilities include: • Leading end-to-end procurement activities including RFx processes, contract management, and supplier onboarding, • Developing strong internal relationships across all levels of the business and building effective supplier partnerships, • Ensuring appropriate governance is applied to procurement activities and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and procedures, • Acting as a subject matter expert for procurement systems, providing guidance and training to key stakeholders, • Leading complex negotiations across commercial, legal, and operational terms to maximise value and deliver cost savings, • Identifying, sourcing, and evaluating suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery, • Supporting procurement leadership with reporting, analysis, and insight across procurement activity, • Analysing data to support category strategies and inform decision making, • Supporting larger, cross-functional projects as required The role would suit candidates with: • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within Indirect Procurement, ideally across categories such as IT, Property/FM, or Logistics, • Proven experience negotiating complex service contracts and Master Service Agreements, • Strong transferable skills for managing intangible service categories, • A solid understanding of procurement governance and risk management, • The confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels, • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a data-driven mindset, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, • Experience using procurement systems and tools, • A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
