As a Reliability Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our efforts to implement, protect, and continually refine our asset care strategy. Collaborating closely with our production facilities, you'll help boost equipment performance and elevate our maintenance programs. • Collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure consistent adherence to maintenance programs and practices across all facilities., • Act as the Subject Matter authority for the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring effective use, data integrity, and continuous improvement., • Support both capital and non-capital projects by ensuring reliability fundamentals are embedded throughout. Champion the Early Equipment Management (EEM) process to drive robust design, smooth commissioning, and long-term asset performance., • Spearhead the development and implementation of Criticality Assessments and Risk-Based Maintenance evaluations to maximise asset performance and mitigate operational risks., • Collaborate with manufacturing. and support teams to guide and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring technical failures and breakdowns. Role Objective: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in servicing and maintaining a diverse range of personal safety equipment and fixed gas detection systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance, reliability, and user confidence across client sites. Key Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer: • Service and maintenance of portable gas detectors, SCBA, Escape Breathing apparatus, and fall arrest and lifting equipment. - Set up and commissioning of new gas detection systems. - Building trust-based relationships with clients and identifying additional safety equipment needs. - Ensuring customer satisfaction to drive repeat business. - Completing all relevant paperwork and updating the CRM database. - Providing vital data for management reporting and supporting the workshop as needed. The Ideal Candidate: Experience: • Minimum of 2 years proven engineering experience as a Field Service Engineer or a Static Engineer/ Technician, ideally within the safety equipment industry. - Background in utilities, engineering, or construction sectors preferred. - Knowledge of fixed gas detection systems, SCBA equipment or lifting equipment is desirable - Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and effective decision-making. Skills & Attributes: • Excellent customer service abilities with strong interpersonal skills to work with customers on their company premises. - Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. - Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative. - Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing. - Results-driven, dynamic, and enthusiastic. - Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to multitask effectively. - Positive and adaptable attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrates ownership of personal development and a willingness to learn. - Competent in using IT systems and business software.
