About Us At Kids With Brains, we specialise in after-school science clubs and science-themed birthday parties. Our mission is to spark curiosity and build confidence in children’s understanding of science through engaging, hands-on experiments. Our main base is in Stoke Newington, with clubs also located in Kentish Town, Kensington, and Edgware. Who We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate is passionate about nurturing young learners and has the ability to simplify scientific concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics for children aged 5 to 11. While a science degree isn’t required, we’ve found that candidates who have studied science at least to A-level are better prepared to present the material effectively. We provide online and in-person training, with continuous support provided. Essential Requirements: - Enhance DBS check - Interested in science and learning - Willingness to travel across London - Reliable and responsible attitude - Willingness to learn both science and class management ** Role Details:** - Fixed-term contract from September - December (approx 12 weeks) with possibility to extend - Teach 5 classes per week in primary schools - Managing the club and birthday party equipment (during the week only) - There are also additional weekend hours available as a science party host - Summer and half-term holidays excluded (unless you want to joim us for camps too!) Additionally, there is opportunity for you to take on admin work regarding the birthday parties. We need someone to organise the party requests and calander, liase with the parents and the party hosts, arranging who takes on which party. We‘re seeking a passionate and experienced Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join our new, multidisciplinary Chronic Pain service. You’ll play a key role across service development, mobilisation and delivery of our service, championing psychologically informed care across our pathway and multidisciplinary team. This is a part-time, hybrid role. You will be expected to work from our Leyton office when required. You will report to the Executive Chair and work closely with the Clinical Director and CEO. Key Responsibilities - Lead the development of our psychologically informed clinical pathways, pain management programme, patient education content, and webinars - Formulate and implement evidence-based interventions (ACT, CBT, third-wave approaches) for individuals and groups - Share psychological insights and guidance with MDT colleagues, contributing to holistic care planning and risk management - Deliver remote specialist psychological assessments (in-person and remote), drawing on interviews, psychometric tools, and patient-reported outcomes - Support service quality through involvement in audit, governance, and continuous improvement - Collaborate with primary, community, and tertiary care teams to ensure integrated patient care - Stay up to date with research and best practice in the psychological management of chronic pain Experience and Qualifications - Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Health Psychology (BPS-accredited) - HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist - Significant experience working at a specialist level within pain, long-term conditions, or complex physical health settings - Experience in service development, pathway design, or patient education - Demonstrated competence in assessment and therapy delivery (including group work) in line with ACT, CBT, or other third-wave models - Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team - Skilled in communicating complex, sensitive information to patients and colleagues - Commitment to inclusive, person-centred care - Familiarity with digital service delivery or virtual group facilitation Additional Requirements In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the attached job description and person specification, all candidates must meet the following requirements: - Right to Work: You must be legally entitled to work in the UK. YOU MUST HAVE: - 3+ years’ experience as a sous chef or chef. 2+ years’ experience with Italian cuisine. Good level of oral proficiency in English and/ or Italian language. TASKS INCLUDE: - Prepare, cook, and present food in line with the required standards of Sapore Vero. - Supporting the company in developing new menus & weekly specials. - Monitor food production to ensure consistent quality of portion size. - Take ownership of the kitchen management in the absence of the Head Chef. - Follow relevant hygiene and health & safety guidelines. - Organise food, supplies, and utensils within the kitchen and in the fridges. - Stock control. - Following FIFO procedure to reduce waste of food stock. - Keep all designated areas in the kitchen clean and tidy before, during, and after the service accordingly with hygiene standards. - Check that appliance and fridges are at the required temperatures and properly closed before leaving. - Regularly clean and monitor kitchen appliances. - Work with the kitchen porter and pizza chefs to ensure the smooth running of service. - Coordinate take away orders with the pizza chef and floor staff to provide drivers with correct food. - Establish effective employee relations and maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards all guests, clients, and employees. - Any other duties as assigned related to this position.
