Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist - Paediatric Dysphagia - GK8RQ Location: East London Setting: Community / Children's Services Duration: Ongoing Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full Time (Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm) Rate: £29 per hour (Umbrella equivalent) Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a well-established children's community service in East London. This role focuses on supporting children and infants with complex feeding and communication needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialist dysphagia assessments and interventions for babies and children (0-18 years) Manage and prioritise a paediatric caseload, including infants under 1 year Undertake EHC needs assessments and produce high-quality reports Carry out both formal and informal speech and language assessments Work collaboratively with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams Provide advice, training and support to parents, carers, and education staff Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards Essential Requirements Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) HCPC registration Dysphagia trained (essential) Experience working with children and infants, including under 1 year olds Experience completing EHC assessments and report writing Strong experience within mainstream school settings Ability to manage a caseload independently Desirable Previous NHS community paediatric experience Experience working within MDT environments Eden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer.
