Responsibilities: - Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. - Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, including Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and capabilities. - Manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as the grill, sauté, or pastry station, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet service requirements and guest expectations. - Monitor inventory levels and assist with ingredient procurement and stock rotation, communicating with the kitchen manager or purchasing department to ensure adequate supply levels and minimize waste. - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas, following food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a hygienic and safe working environment.
