About the Job We are looking for a performance-minded Creative Strategist & Editor who can transform client-supplied video and still assets into high-performing ads across Meta, TikTok and YouTube. This role sits at the intersection of creative strategy, video editing, static design and performance analysis, with a strong emphasis on conversion-optimised creative. You will collaborate with our media buying team, advise clients on what creative they need, repurpose existing assets into scroll-stopping ads, and help drive structured creative testing frameworks. This is a freelance hybrid role working with a fast-paced team and premium brand portfolio. Key Responsibilities Creative Strategy & Shoots • Review client video and still assets to identify repurposing opportunities, • Develop creative strategies aligned to paid social objectives, • Recommend new assets clients should produce (UGC, testimonials, unboxings, stills, product demos, etc.), • Join client content shoots and help direct production for ad content, • Stay ahead of platform-native formats, trends and best practices, • Define creative concepts, angles, hooks and testing structures Video Editing • Edit raw footage into high-performing ads for Meta, TikTok and YouTube, • Write performance-driven scripts, voice over prompts, and structure narrative angles, • Build multiple variants (hooks, CTAs, pacing, overlays, UGC edits), • Add captions, animations, social overlays and platform-specific elements, • Reformat content into vertical, square and horizontal formats Static Creative Editing • Turn client photos into high-performance static ads, • Design multiple variations using platform-native layouts, text and CTA structures, • Create carousels, story frames and multi-image ads, • Build reusable static templates for rapid iteration, • Integrate social proof, reviews and benefit-led badge systems Creative Testing & Insights • Support creative testing frameworks in partnership with media buyers, • Analyse creative performance across platforms, • Deliver insight reports and creative recommendations, • Inform future iterations with data-driven reasoning Collaboration • Work closely with account managers to align creative with account strategy, Communicate clearly, confidently and proactively across teams, • Present creative recommendations directly to clients, • Provide monthly creative improvement plans Experience & Skills Essential • Agency/ in house experience in a similar role, • Strong video editing experience (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut etc.)Ability to design high-performance static ads (Figma, Canva, Photoshop etc.), • Understanding of how creative impacts CPC, CTR, CPA and ROAS, • Experience editing short-form content for paid social, • Ability to design platform-native static ad layouts, • Comfortable working with diverse, client-supplied asset libraries, • Foundational and executional understanding of Meta Ads buying Attributes • Creative and data-driven, • Thinks naturally in hooks, angles and scroll-stoppers, • Fast, iterative and thrives in rapid-testing environments, • Clear and confident communicator with clients, • Deep understanding of Meta, TikTok and YouTube creative norms and trends, • Proactive, curious and always testing new ideas Who You Are • Curious with an obsession with learning - you independently develop your skills, want to learn and bring new ideas to the team regularly, • Direct, confident, open, not afraid to ask questions and confident sharing your opinion, • Upfront, honest, able to admit your own mistakes and handle feedback, • A self-starter, a do-er who doesn’t need instructions and independently takes initiative, understanding priorities, • A solution seeker that can creatively overcome challenges as well as pick the right battles, • Team-player, ready to get your hands dirty with a variety of tasks - no job is too small or too big - You take ownership and accountability across all areas of the business, • Ability to quickly build rapport and trust with people and high emotional intelligence, • Have an entrepreneurial mindset with experience working in small, fast-paced businesses.
