Role: To main purpose of this role is to prioritise the assembly orders, ensure all component parts are available, plan the orders onto the various workstations and allocate the appropriate resource to carry out the required tasks. Key accountabilities: * Plan and prioritise assembly orders using the planning spreadsheet. * Organise the team, equipment, and paperwork to meet daily targets. * Print and allocate all required assembly paperwork and labels. * Plan cover for short-term absences (training, appointments, etc.) to minimise disruption. * Keep records up to date, including attendance, fire register, and order progress. * Monitor and update BOR, change tables, and stock levels (IFS) as needed. * Book and close orders, updating all relevant systems. * Work closely with departments such as Planning, WHS, and Purchasing to resolve order issues, chase parts, and manage consumables. * Raise IT support tickets (SysAid) and follow up as needed. * Attend meetings in the manager’s absence (Customer Service, Planning, etc.). * Support training activities with the Production Trainer and Assembly Management team. * Encourage continuous improvement and contribute to department KPIs. * Promote company values through teamwork and a positive attitude. Person Specification: * Excellent organisation skills with ability to use a variety of information sources to maximise individual and teams’ performance to meet departmental and company objectives. * Confidence and ability to manage varied, complex and changing day to day individual and team activities remaining open in communication with Assembly Manager. * Ability to work with the Management team to achieve departmental and company objectives. * Ability to identify and drive positive change in self, individuals, teams and processes. * Understanding of the Business requirements to plan dynamically for maximum benefit. * Strong H&S and general housekeeping awareness and knowledge. * Willingness to undertake any relevant training sessions. * Computer literate and able to use the company system (IFS) or similar MRP systems. * Excellent communication skills. Role Overview: Working in conjunction with the Director of QHSE, you will be responsible for improving the HSE culture, implementing Polypipe Building Services and Genuit Group HSE policies, managing HSE systems, driving behavioural change and improving management competence. Key Responsibilities: * Interpret, communicate, and ensure compliance with the company’s Management Systems and all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. * Support the Site Management Team with all HSE responsibilities, providing advice and assistance as required. * Implement Polypipe Building Services and Group HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives on site. * Maintain accreditation to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Standards. * Set, monitor, and report on HSE goals and objectives, including presenting KPIs to Senior Management and identifying performance trends. * Provide guidance across all levels of the business to ensure a consistent and best-practice approach to HSE management. * Conduct regular site tours to verify that HSE standards are maintained and actively driven by management. * Identify HSE training, competency, and awareness needs, working with the L&D team to track and maintain competence. * Ensure all site HSE systems are maintained, updated, and effectively implemented & Manage site access control systems. * Oversee the development and review of risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSW) while Establishing and maintaining appropriate PPE requirements for the site. * Lead site inspections and audits, including external mandatory inspections & Support internal and external audit programmes. * Promote a strong sustainability, health, and safety culture across the workplace & Consult and communicate effectively with the business on all HSE matters. * Deputise for the Director of QHSE on safety and environmental matters when required. Skills & Requirements: * In-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation within a manufacturing environment & Experience managing and developing a professional HSE team. * Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive positive change and continuous improvement while being strong team player. * Able to work proactively and independently, using initiative to develop and enhance the role while having Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. * Competent in conducting safety and environmental inspections. * Competent in planning, conducting, and reporting audits. * Able to accurately record inspection, check, and audit results in a clear and compliant manner aligned with relevant standards. * Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IFS. * Ability to integrate environmental, health, and safety legislation into management systems. * NEBOSH Certificate required; NEBOSH Diploma (Part II) or equivalent preferred. * AIEMA (or equivalent) professional training. * Full UK driving licence. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for performing and documenting First-off approval and routine Production QC Rounds including any visual, measurement or physical testing as described in Production Information Sheets Responsible for accepting or bonding product based on results of measurements/testing, and communicating product outcomes to production personnel and Team Leader Responsible for ensuring that any nonconforming product are correctly Bonded or Concessed, and any agreed follow up actions or investigations are completed in a timely manner Responsible for carrying out and documenting End Of Run procedures and communicating any issues to respective area (tooling/production/technical) Assist with quality checks on externally sourced materials and products Calibrate identified Production test equipment and gauges Promote continual improvement through the use of processes and procedures whilst adopting and maintaining a long-term quality culture.
