Head of Finance & IT\n Hours: 37 hours per week \n Salary: £51,150 - £52,798 per annum (salary dependent on skills, experience and knowledge) \n Contract: Permanent \n Base: Office/Hybrid - Office bases are in Oxford or Wokingham \n Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a Head of Finance & IT to join our leadership team and help us deliver on that mission. \n In this role, you’ll lead our finance and IT functions, ensuring robust systems and processes that enable us to grow and innovate. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands‑on expertise, guiding your team to deliver excellent service across the organisation. \nWhat we’re looking for:\n\n • A qualified finance professional with strong leadership skills\n, • Experience of working in the charity sector\n, • CCAB qualified or equivalent experience.\n, • Strong understanding of the governance, compliance and regulation requirements for delivering a charity finance function (Charities SORP, Charity Commission, HMRC etc.).\n, • Working knowledge of Iplicit or other similar mid-level accounting packages.\n, • Significant experience in a senior finance role ideally within the charity sector.\n, • Experienced in leading and building a high performing team and service, driving change.\n, • Experience reporting to Board level and engaging senior stakeholders.\n, • Experience of developing and strengthening internal controls, financial policies, and reporting systems.\n, • Relevant experience and knowledge across wide range of Finance disciplines including financial reporting, management accounts and payroll.\n, • Knowledge of charity financial reporting and experience of ensuring charity SORP compliance for statutory account preparation.\n, • A collaborative leader with a proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to balance strategic and operational responsibilities.\n, • Proven ability to lead on budgeting, financial planning, and strategic financial management.\n, • Ability to prepare financial and management accounts, including forecasts and annual plans.\n, • Exceptional organisational, analytical, and communication skills.\n, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain complex financial information clearly.\n, • Strong relationship building skills at a senior level.\n, • Ability to think and act strategically across multiple functions.\n, • Demonstrable ability to prioritise strategically and against targets.\n, • Team management & development in a fast-paced environment.\n, • Willingness to work flexibly, including out of hours e.g. Board meetings.\n
