Location: Redditch Salary: £29,500 + 5% shift allowance Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Traffic Controller / Banksman to join AMCO's Transport department in Redditch. AMCO is a £60m-turnover, Redditch-based global logistics specialist operating across four sites and providing supply chain solutions worldwide by road, sea, air and rail. We work across a wide range of industries, including electronics, food and industrial, with specialist expertise in automotive parts logistics and close working relationships with luxury vehicle manufacturers. As Traffic Controller / Banksman, you will support the safe, efficient and compliant running of the Transport operation. You will work closely with drivers, customers and the wider transport team, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day operational matters. • Design, lay out and manage safe on-site traffic systems, including vehicle routes, speed limits and parking/loading areas., • Direct HGVs, lorries, cranes and other plant machinery, particularly during reversing and other complex manoeuvres., • Ensure driver arrival and departure procedures are followed., • Monitor site entrances and exits, including vehicle gatehouse checks and auditing processes., • Act as the first point of escalation for the Transport Office, Goods In and Warehouse., • Support the Senior team member with the day-to-day running of the department and driver team., • Support the running of all AMCO UK Transport contracts., • Track transport through Webfleet and arrange agency driver cover where required., • Provide holiday cover as needed., • Ensure vehicles and trailers are presented on time for maintenance and servicing., • Log and action vehicle and trailer damages and defects., • Support the Head of Compliance to ensure staff, vehicles and trailers remain compliant., • Maintain and update the individual training matrix with the Line Manager., • Ensure internal, external, customer and departmental KPIs are updated weekly., • Ensure operational issues are logged on the relevant system., • Provide day-to-day customer service and keep customers updated when issues arise., • Manage third-party suppliers on a day-to-day basis., • Complete invoicing in a timely manner., • Manage fuel cards and AdBlue drawdowns., • Support departmental and company-wide projects.
