Your Role\n We are looking for an experienced and proactive SHEQ Advisor to join our dynamic team in the Inverness region. Reporting to the regional Health & Safety Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting our operational teams and ensuring compliance with our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards across various projects. \n This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated SHEQ professional to drive positive change, foster continuous improvement, and support the delivery of safe, sustainable, and high-quality operations. Your Key Responsibilities\n\n • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures.\n, • Monitor operational activities for SHEQ compliance, escalating significant findings as necessary.\n, • Promote and cultivate a positive health and safety culture throughout the organization.\n, • Provide practical SHEQ advice and support to project and operational teams.\n, • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders.\n, • Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.\n, • Liaise with the Group SHEQ team to maintain consistency of standards and best practices.\n, • Attend and present at client SHEQ meetings, sharing key outcomes and lessons learned.\n, • Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with SHEQ requirements.\n, • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance your expertise.\n, • Collaborate with central SHEQ teams to tackle specific business challenges and improvement initiatives.\n, • Contribute to the ongoing development of the SHEQ Management System.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n To thrive in this role, you should possess: Essential Qualifications\n\n • NEBOSH General Certificate.\n, • Strong understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).\n, • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\n, • Ability to influence and support operational teams in achieving SHEQ objectives.\n, • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.\nDesirable Qualifications\n\n, • Knowledge of HSG47 and underground utility avoidance.\n, • Experience in environmental management.\n, • Background in the electrical utilities sector.\n, • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.\n, • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety.\n, • IOSH Membership (Chartered or working towards Chartered status).\n, • Environmental qualification, such as the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate.\nWhy Join Us?\n We believe in evolving our benefits to attract and retain the best talent.
